Chopped, Except That It’s Art Chopped (2015-Present), performance, length variable

Chopped, Except That It’s Art Chopped is a studio art adaptation of Chopped, the Food Network’s hit television show. On each “episode” of Art Chopped, four artists use mystery art supplies to construct original works of art within limited time frames in front of a live audience. There are three rounds: Group Show, Solo Exhibition, and Career Retrospective. Guest judges critique their work based on aesthetics, technical prowess, and conceptual rigor, and each round one artist is chopped. Art Chopped has been commissioned at Art Basel Miami Beach, Dia:Beacon, New Release Gallery, BHQFU, and University of Rochester, amongst others.
